Assisting a Government Agency

Sterling directors acted as independent external witnesses to the procurement of a £40 million IT contract by a major department of a Government Agency.

Our role was to verify that the whole process had been conducted in accordance with good purchasing practice and that the bidding process was open, fair, honest and transparent. Where appropriate Sterling Consulting Group commented and offered advice during the procurement process.

Sterling Consulting Group submitted an audit report to the Agency following our attendance at tender opening and evaluation meetings to confirm that the activity was conducted in accordance with good practice and in the spirit of Best Value.

This was a large and complex purchase with long-term implications for the Agency.
